A Bit of Homework This Vestalia

The Vestalia kicked off on the 7th, and I'm busy researching mola salsa, spelt cakes, far, daily rituals, larariums, turibulums, Religion Romana, Hellenic, and ADF Hearth Culture  I had two teeth pulled last night, so I'm taking it slow.  I'm just glad that there's so many days of the Vestalia!  Today, I did get around to cleaning the shrines:

This is my husband's shrine (although I'm the one who cares for it).  This is it's temporary home, as he wants to get a hanging corner shelf for his Patron.  I think for Father's Day, I might get him two ravens to hang on either side of the shrine.  But here, we have Odin, moljnir, Eostre, the Council of Wolves, and a Skyrim map.  The Skyrim map, I feel, is perfect and it also include my Pop Culture deities from the game.

Here's Kuan Yin, Tara, and Bear's shrines and healing altar.  I really struggle with this one, because I like to switch things up, but I haven't been able to do a whole lot with this shrine.  I think I need to get a thinner cloth, that way, Kuan Yin won't need that prayer book to stand on, and I can do a bit more.  Or maybe I'll eventually move Them up onto a wall shelf?

And finally, we have Lady Hestia.
Lots of learning and reflecting going on in my neck of the woods.  How bout you?

Here I have a white veil, an offering of salted flour, a cauldron with a wooden spoon and a white candle, a bottle of consecrated water, my family statue, smudging wand, wax house, skeleton keys, smudge stick, crochet hooks, a trinket box of gifts for Her, a mirror to deflect negativity, garnet, rose quartz, carnelian, my first crochet chain, and a statue of the lovely Lady Herself.

As inspiration from Mea Pietas' post about The Vestalia, now more than ever, I want to get a statue of  "A veiled Vestal Virgin" by Raffaelle Monti for the shrine, to keep the sacred flame.
